On the Other Side of Grief Lies Beauty

I’m grieving a lot lately. I imagine you may be as well. There is much to grieve in our world. It can feel overwhelming at times, yes?

Some of what I grieve, I have not asked for. The generations of unhealed grief that has been passed down to and through us all. The recent death of my beloved grandmother. How humans get so far from our inherent nature and do such harm.

My heart is breaking into a million pieces.

And… as I crack open, allowing the waves of emotion to flow, I feel all those pieces of my heart becoming part of a greater whole of connection - beyond what I have yet known.

Some of what I am grieve are changes of my own choosing. I have said goodbye to places, to people, to ways of thinking and being - to so many notions of how I thought I was meant to live. In the space between what was and what will be, it is terrifying and heartbreaking - and so beautiful!

Grief, wherever its origins, is not something to run from, but to walk towards with open hearts, bodies and minds. It is the path to beautiful, so important, healing transformation.

We have been so collectively conditioned to fear and suppress emotions. We have been inundated with messages and tools to turn away and numb. It’s so understandable. But it’s wrong.

When we allow the emotions in us to flow - with each other - we open to giving, receiving, connecting, living - ever more deeply and widely with ourselves and with each other.

I recently recieved a potent message from very old, wise mountains I have come to know and love of what I know, but can forget. As I climbed along them, I heard, “On the other side of grief lies beauty”.  And as I felt into those words, I knew them to be true. (I deeply thanked these mountains, and was surprised when I heard with sweet laughter, “Thank you for being open to hearing us”. My heart melted).

So no matter how much it scares us, no matter how much we feel along the way, let’s go, hand in hand, heart in heart, with each other! So much is possible when we do. Not yet imagined possibility that our earth is calling for us to open to and allow to come forth and be.

On the other side of grief lies beauty!

What corners of your heart are calling for your attention?
What emotions, ideas, desired in you are calling for you to listen?
What is there to explore changing, perhaps allowing a goodbye, to allow something new to exist?
There is so much more possible for you when you open the way.

So much possible for YOU!

Much love! More soon!
